Hi,

My wife Amy and I had a wonderful experience with Kilimanjaro Climbing Company. Our guides Prosper & Isaac are total experts. They were kind, fun, and very professional in guiding us up the mountain. We really appreciated their expertise. Please give me a call with any questions.

I want to thank the entire KCC team for a great experience. To my surprise the food was really good and Prosper and Tim were very positive and made sure we made the top on an extremely cold windy day. When my hands got cold, Prosper immediately gave me his very warm mittens. They kept us moving until we reached the summit! Of course it is a bucket accomplishment for me. I highly recommend KCC. Anyone can contact me and I would be happy to give them a great recommendation. Bring a good book as there is some down time in the late afternoon and evening. Make sure you have a very warm sleeping bag, or rent one from them. They rented me one that was great. Come in good hiking condition, it really pays off, even for a 64 year old!

Our Tansania experience (March 2018) organised by KCC was just incredible! We had great fun at Safaris in Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Arusha NP. Our Guide Bakari showed us loads of animals, stunning nature sights and told us tons of facts! A very passionate guide – if we come back one day we want to go with him again ???? It was a magical time! We spent the nights in different lodges and everything was just nice. Cosy rooms, good food, friendly staff.
We also climbed Kili with our guide Prosper - for one day only, just to get a taste of it ???? In addition to this, Prosper spent a day with us in Arusha. There we had local food, Banana Beer, went to the local market and after all met Geoffrey for Dinner and live music.
All this happened in about 7 days.
Some days before and after we spent on Zanzibar. We booked the accommodations on the island on our own. Simon had organised all transfers (thanks to Heri!) and was always available for any questions or recommendations.
We can absolutely recommend KCC! The planning of our week on the mainland took only a few mails and everything was organised. We felt safe and well kept by Bakari, Prosper and Geoffrey. Simon also included a surprise for us which it really was!!! But this is not to tell… ????
Asante Sana to KCC and all the best from Germany, Timo & Petra

The KCC team were just incredible. The guides Prosper, Stanley, Skoba, David and with the assistance of Ali really went above and beyond to ensure we all made it to summit. Each day at camp the entire team were full of positive energy and made our stay fun and comfortable. The food was always lovely which was extremely helpful to ensure we managed to get enough fuel in each day. A huge thank you to everyone in the KCC team for making the trek such wonderful experience.

Thank you for a fantastic trek. The KCC team are a dream. Prosper, Serephin and Geofrey went out of the way to make our trip a great success. Anyone thinking of climbing Kili should really climb with these guys.

The safari was amazing as well. Abu has so much knowledge and we learnt & saw much more than we expected.

Thank you

Thank you Killimajaro Climbing Company for a brilliant honeymoon.

First the team got our group up Killimajaro. The guides, Prosper and Seraphim, made sure we where going at a rate that would mean we had energy for the final summit. Though clearly the aim was to get to the top, at no point did it feel like they were going to risk our health just to get to the top. Basically they looked after us on the hike. Then the rest of the team looked after us at camp, from finding good camp sites, cooking great food and carrying that true luxury of a toilet.

After the mountain, KCC organised the rest of Jodie and mine's honeymoon. This started with Safari where Abu, the KCC guide and driver, not only enabled us to see tons of animals but also was able to tell us tons. His knowledge is encyclopedic.

Then we went to Zanzibar where Simon was able to suggest great places to eat and organised all the great hotels. Herry the driver was always willing to help and got us around the island.

Basically, KCC went out of their way to give us a brilliant holiday (such as Jeffrey and Prosper making sure our whole group got t-shirts).

Thank you so much for such a special holiday.

We had an amazing time with KCC on a Rongai trek! Prosper was able to customize the departure time and pace during the final summit so that he timed sunrise perfectly. Thanks to the entire crew who kept us happy and well fed during the entire time!

    Experience the Wild…

Welcome to Tarangire Simba Lodge, Tarangire National Park is a gem on the northern safari circuit. Teeming with wildlife, especially in the dry season, this area is a safari-goers dream. Located near the new Sangaiwe Gate of Tarangire National Park. Tarangire Simba Lodge is situated in a wildlife-rich area with unhampered views to beautiful Lake Burunge, bordered by the park and a Wildlife Management Area. The setting is stunning; with a giant old Baobab tree anchoring one corner and a permeating feeling of real Africa.

The lodge opened in mid 2015 (July) and has 24 classic tents under thatch. Resident wildlife includes lion, zebra, bushbuck, impala, porcupine, monkeys, warthog, mongoose and more. Elephant, buffalo, ostrich and giraffe frequently pass through while the bird life is prolific and vibrant.

Areas surrounding national parks are critical for conservation. The location of Tarangire Simba Lodge creates a buffer between the park and the nearby village areas, which, although currently sparse in population, are under cultivation and could be subject to human/wildlife conflict. We work closely with the rangers at the nearby station to ensure that the wildlife is not compromised.

During the dry season groups of elephant, giraffe, waterbuck, zebra and more come to a small waterhole located in front of the lodge. Lucky guests can watch wildlife right from their rooms or the elevated viewing platform near the pool.

Guests are able to enter, exit and re-enter from the Sangaiwe gate of Tarangire National Park with ease.

    Fine hospitality for safari travellers

Accommodation at Tarangire Simba Lodge is in sixteen classic canvas safari tents situated permanently under thatch. The spacious tents are constructed on platforms complete with wooden floors, large en-suite dressing room, toilet and shower. There are twin and queen tents; triples are possible. There is also a family tent with two queen-sized beds. Additionally there is an outdoor shower and each tent has a private veranda with views to the bush and Lake Burunge. Furnishings are handcrafted from African hardwood complimented with tastefully selected fabrics; electricity and hot water are solar powered. Full amenities are provided.

If you’re lucky you may see wildlife right from your room or verandah!

Each room has a torch (flashlight) and umbrella for you to use during your stay with us and there is a power strip to charge your devices.
